welcome

Iam Tim Novinger, a web developer and designer living in Fort Wayne, IN. I am experienced in creating standards compliant web sites, resolving crossbrowser compatibility issues and creating tableless layouts.

I am well versed in major web design applications such as Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Photoshop and handcoding valid XHTML and CSS. I am also able to find my way around unobtrusive DOM scripting using the JavaScript framework, Mootools.

I tend to have an eye for details and I won't rest until every pixel is exactly where I want it to be. In fact, I pride myself on my ability to produce browser agnostic web sites. I love contemporary art and technology. My love for web design is a direct product of that as it's a perfect combination of both.

If you're interested in my advice, past work or even just me, please feel free to contact me using any of the various methods available.

I love Google, I really do. Have I said it before? I really love Google.... When I upgraded to the latest Firefox BETA the other week I absolutely fell in love with it but, as with all Mozilla updates, all of my plugins no longer worked. Which was ok I thought, I'll just fire up Firefox 2 whenever I need to do some development work and just use FF3b2 for fun. I lasted this way for a while but, despite a few bugs that I see, the BETA is actually really good at this point in time. Memory management is stunning and, in my opinion, finally what it should be. It's a much more responsive and refined brother to it's sibling, version 2. However, now that I notice the sluggishness of Firefox 2 during development times, what I used to put up with I can no longer stand. Enter Google. I had a sudden idea this morning to use it to see if I could find out if anyone had updated Firebug to get it working in the new Firefox BETA and guess what? They had! Go here: http://fireclipse.xucia.com/#Downloads and download the latest BETA of Firebug for the latest BETA of Firefox. You won't be disappointed. Now I'm still missing a few plugins that I'd love to have but Firebug was really the biggest piece missing for me. This is awesome :) more...
Well after a very successful year and a half of hosting this site on my own personal pc (which played dual roles as a media center and a server) I've finally ponied up the cash and have purchased a real hosting solution at 2mhost.com. Since it's Thanksgiving, I'm glad that the site is on a much more reliable server that I will be able to trust to never go down. That and I can finally turn my computer off at night and start saving some on my power bill :) more...
I was lucky enough to stumble upon this little gem yesterday when I was bored at work and loved it SO much that I even took the extra step and printed out a copy for myself. The article gives some great tips and advice on properly writing Javascript for today's Web2.0 world. What's really nice is that even a beginner should be able to understand most of the concepts. Usually when this is the case, more advanced readers are left out but the author kept some advanced topics in there as well. It's really a great read! » read the article more...
